When Franklin D. Roosevelt was President of the USA he said that, in politics, "Nothing ever happens by accident." That's even more true today. The world is being prepared for the New World Order (NWO). President George Bush Snr. referred to it many times during the first Gulf War. But the basis for the NWO has now changed. George W. Bush Junior was elected President by the power of the Protestant Christian Right, and the US is now openly pursuing so-called Christian aims for world domination.

There is only one other main contender for world domination, and that is the papacy. To many people, the Vatican would probably be the last "power" they would think of, that is capable of opposing the military and financial might of America, but she has been planning this for many years. First published in 1990, the book The Keys of This Blood by Vatican insider Malachi Martin, says on its original version cover: "The Struggle for World Dominion between Pope John Paul II, Mikhail Gorbachev & The Capitalist West." Gorbachev and the Soviet Union have already been toppled, and that was brought about by the collaboration of the papacy and America.

Malachi Martin says: "Willing or not, ready or not, we are all involved in an all-out, no-holds-barred, three way global competition. The competition is all-out because, now it has started, there is no way it can be reversed or called off, because, once the competition has been decided, the world and all that's in it - our way of life as individuals and citizens of the nations; our families and our jobs; our trade and commerce and money; even the badges of our national identity. All will have been powerfully and radically altered forever." (p15. 1990)

It was first envisaged that the struggle should now be between America and pope Benedict XVI. But, as we have mentioned, collaboration between these two powers took the place of confrontation in bringing about the overthrow of the Soviet Union. They are both pursuing religious aims. George Bush has the greatest respect for the papacy and according to the Bible both sides will now work together to dominate the world. America will use its world superpower might, to back the papal moral and religious dominance.

In the past the papacy has had great experience in ruling nations. The Holy Roman Empire, which had as its symbol the Orb on top of the Globe (shown on the left), took shape after the "conversion" of Emperor Constantine the Great and the reconciliation between the "Christianity" of that day, and the old pagan Roman Empire. The "Christian Church" became a state church and the empire paid homage to the pope. For 1260 years, from A.D.538 to A.D.1798, papal dominion was undisputed. Kings, Emperors and rulers moved according to her dictates. The Bible and world events tell us that, in the very near future, dominion far exceeding in extent anything the papacy has ever known in the past, will return.

The second plan was made by Pope John Paul II, but, realisation that both the papacy and America have the same objective - total control of the whole world - led the two powers to work together to topple the Soviet Union. Pope Benedict XVI and George Bush will continue to work together to gain world dominion.

It's an incredible, conspiratorial plot. But history gives us a precedent. In 1923 a young man imprisoned in a Bavarian jail wrote an autobiography outlining his plan to dominate the world. That was Adolf Hitler, and his book was Mein Kampf. As the University of Tasmania's "de proverbio" says regarding Mein Kampf: "It contains in black and white what Hitler was planning for Germany and Europe, and in what brutal manner he intended to construct his Thousand Year Reich." But despite Hitler's openly stated plans, few, if any, believed him. They believed him only when, in 1939, Hitler plunged the whole world into the horrors of World War II.

There is a startling parallel before us today. In 1990, Malachi Martin - an admirer and close associate of Pope John Paul II - wrote The Keys of This Blood. The (original 1990) front cover states that the book is all about "The struggle for World Dominion between Pope John Paul II, Mikhail Gorbachev & The Capitalist West." Just as Mein Kampf outlined Hitler's plans, so The Keys of This Blood outlines in great detail the plans of Pope John Paul II to be world leader. Gorbachev has already been dealt with. Benedict XVI's aim is to now continue to use America to come to the point where the papacy will be seen, not just as heading a one-world religion, but as undisputed joint - and dominant - ruler of the whole world.

Why is the papacy taking this course? She controlled all the kingdoms of Europe for over 1,000 years, losing her power in 1798, when General Berthier took the pope prisoner to France, where he died in captivity. The Bible refers to this as a "deadly wound" (Rev. 13:3). But verse 3 also says "..his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast."

In 1929, Mussolini, then Italian prime minister, signed the Lateran Treaty, giving the papacy full control of the 109 (approx.) acres of land known as Vatican City, which became an independent political state, exchanging ambassadors with other nations. Although Vatican City is the smallest independent country in the world, morally and religiously it is one of the most powerful. The papacy aims to make it the most powerful, and, if it succeeds in its aim of gaining moral and religious control over America (even to the extent of controlling its President and government) then its world aim will have been realised.

(Later studies will explore Scriptures which link Plans 1 and 2, and tell us the past, present and future roles of the papacy and America.)

This third plan is given in the book of Daniel, chapter 2, verses 31 - 43.

These 13 verses, containing only 370 words, describe every nation which would rule the world, from the time of Babylon to the time when God sets up His New World Order.

Here is a summary of those verses:
Nebuchadnezzar, the first king of Babylon (606 to 562 B.C.) conquered Israel and took captives to Babylon. One of these was Daniel. In the king's second year, he had a dream, but when he awoke he could not remember it. His wise men and magicians couldn't tell him, but Daniel prayed and God revealed the secret to him.

Daniel's Dream: Daniel told the king he had dreamed of a great image, composed of various metals and clay (verses 31 -33): The head was gold Breast and arms were silver Belly and thighs were brass Legs were iron The feet were part iron, part clay Next the king saw a stone (cut out without hands) which hit the image on the feet and broke them in pieces (Verse 34.) The whole image was broken in pieces and became like chaff, which the wind carried completely away. The stone that hit the image "became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth" (Verse 35.)

Daniel then told the king what the dream meant (verses 36-45):
The head of gold represented King Nebuchanezzar and the kingdom of Babylon, which God had given him (verses 37, 38.)
After him there would be only three more world kingdoms, represented by metals which are progressively inferior to gold - silver, brass and iron (verses 39-40.)
The feet of the image were a mixture of potters' clay and iron (verses 41-43.) Apart from the obvious physical application, the spiritual meaning has been given in these words: "The mingling of churchcraft and statecraft is represented by the iron and the clay. This union is weakening all the power of the churches. This investing the church with the power of the state will bring evil results." There is much concern today over the issue of church-state relations.

The prophecy tells us that: "..in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed" (verse 44.)

God said only four earthly kingdoms would rule the world from the 6th century B.C. down to the end of time - Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome. History tells us this is true. The rule of the fourth kingdom - the pagan Roman empire - finished in the 6th century A.D. and no earthly power has ruled the whole world since then.

The next world kingdom will be God's kingdom, restoring the earth to its original perfect state, and populated with men and women restored to their original perfect sinless state.

At Creation, not one of the evil things we now see was present. No sin, no suffering, no starvation, no death, no pollution, no greed, no wars, no terrorism. Nature was peaceful - there were no tsunamis, floods, earthquakes, tidal waves, typhoons or devastating fires.

The history of the world, as foretold in Daniel 2, has all come true. So we can have every confidence that no man will set up a fifth world kingdom. God tells us His kingdom will be next to rule the world, not just for a few years, but for eternity.

"Whosoever will" (Revelation 22:17) can be in that kingdom!
