BIBLE PROPHECY
Bible prophecy, both in the Old and the New
Testaments, has been called "History in Advance."
Another saying is that: "The New is in the Old Concealed; the Old is in the New Revealed."
That's a good reason why we must use the whole of the Bible to have a full understanding of its message.
In this section we shall be going through the prophecies of the Book of Daniel, which lay the foundation for
full understanding of the prophecies of the Book of Revelation. Daniel lays the foundation for understanding Revelation, while Revelation
completes our understanding of Daniel.
But both these books contain much more than prophecy. They also trace the development of character in those
placed under very trying conditions, not only in the time of the prophet Daniel, and also in our own time.
The combination of teachings on prophecy and character development found in these
two books leads to two vital and major themes:
The Prophetic Picture:
In the stream of time, prophecy shows that the world is at its eleventh-hour. This site will outline God's countdown, as far as we now know it,
from the present to the return of Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords.
The Personal Picture:
The level of character perfection Christians must achieve in a short time to be a citizen in God's Eternal Kingdom.
It's a very challenging time to be alive.
We need to know where we stand now, and what lies ahead, so that, in the short time left before Jesus returns, we can be like
the "..wise man which built his house on a rock.." (Matthew 7:24,25.)
